Like yoni eggs, yoni steaming is another women’s traditional sexual healthcare practice that has been around for aeons. It is still widely used in Central and South America, as well as in Korea – and evidence is found of its traditional use in many other countries around the world.
I believe the sole reason this practice has been around for so long – and is now experiencing renewed interest globally – is because it works so well. And, often, it works fast too.
Some of the conditions it can be used for include – period pain; PMS; regulation of the menstrual cycle; increasing fertility; womb cleansing; post-partum recovery & healing; uterine fibroids; uterine cysts; endometriosis; chronic bacterial or yeast infections of the vagina; relief of menopausal symptoms such as vaginal dryness or pain during sex; and emotional release.
Yoni steaming allows the healing volatile oils in the herbs to be transported deep inside the vaginal, cervical, ovarian and uterine tissues – directly and effectively carrying the herbal medicine to exactly where it is needed – with no need to bypass the digestive system as when taking herbs orally. It is gentle, non-invasive, and kick-ass – and I LOVE it!
Yoni steaming is also a wonderful way to release stagnant, outdated or toxic emotions – and I have recorded this Yoni Steaming Clearing Meditation for this purpose. Set up your steaming space (candles/soft lighting, cosy, quiet) and make sure you won’t be disturbed for at least 30 minutes. Set your intention for what you would like to release and listen to this meditation whilst you steam.
