African Forest Medicinals Superhero Immune-Boosting Tea Mix is made up of 4 different types of medicinal mushrooms, carefully blended with a deliciously sweet mixture of goji berries, licorice root and vanilla powder.
This is a superior herbal tea made predominantly from wild-harvested Ancient Reishi (Ganoderma applanatum), Cinnabar Polypore (Pycnoporus cinnabarinus) and Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor) mushrooms.
This tea mix is delicious tasting, deeply nourishing, immune-modulating, protective and rejuvenating. Additionally the Cinnabar boosts circulation and blood flow and helps deliver all the other herbal components deeply into the tissues of the body. More info can be found on our African Forest Medicinals’ website here.
Chaga (Inonotus obliquus) is also added. Chaga has profound benefits related to immunity and cellular integrity, but also has a regenerative effect on the endocrine (hormonal) glands, which start atrophying and calcifying as part of the aging process. Using Chaga rejuvenates these glands which allows them to increase the output of our subtle hormonal chemistry.
Goji berries (Lycium barbarum) are an antioxidant rich superfood with a whole host of profound and extensively documented health benefits. They are particularly beneficial for us as women as a Yin Jing tonic, i.e. they increase the stores of cooling, descending Yin-polarised energy in the kidneys and thus go a great way to mediating hot flushes in menopause which are in part caused by unrestrained ascending Yang. By increasing the Yin Jing, the feminine essence, which is expressed as juiciness internally and radiance externally, is enhanced. Goji berries are a supreme longevity substance.
Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) – is predominantly added to help the other herbs to harmonise with each other and within the body. But Licorice root also helps with the balance of estrogen/progesterone hormones in the female body, as well as being a potent immune-booster and anti-inflammatory. It has been found useful when dealing with urinary tract infections and the Herpes simplex virus and is also very effective in cases of adrenal fatigue and exhaustion.
Vanilla powder (Vanilla planifolia) not only tastes delicious but is also an aphrodisiac!
I recommend this as the cornerstone of every single health protocol – including anything hormone/reproductive health-related, for the reasons given above. It is a tea made from tonic herbs* that you can safely take every single day.
*NB – the only exception to this is the licorice root component – NOT to be taken if you experience issues with high blood pressure (but highly beneficial if your blood pressure is low).
** Do not take this tea if pregnant or nursing.
Each packet of Superhero Tea Mix can be boiled up twice before it starts to lose flavour and colour. That means that each packet of tea makes a total of at least 32 cups of awesome, super-delicious, health-giving tea!
Directions for Use:- The best way to prepare the tea is in a slow cooker / rice cooker / electric crock pot (available from most supermarkets in 3 litre and 6 litre sizes). One can also prepare the tea in a normal pot on the stove by bringing it just to the boil and then leaving it to simmer for an hour. The slow cooker is preferred because it can just be left on the lowest setting and the tea will always be ready for you (and, with consistent heat, won’t go off). Otherwise, you need to cook up the tea and then refrigerate it, reheating small quantities as needed.
Re-Wild Yourself Today!
All mushrooms, except the Chaga, are wild-harvested from the Knysna Forest farm myself and my husband live on – and all other ingredients are certified organic. Both wild-harvested and organic plants require greater natural protection against predators, resulting in them producing far more of the compounds that we are then able to enjoy as medicine. They are also a lot more mineral-rich. Wild-grown plants are also infused with the energies of the natural environment they have grown in – and this wild, natural energy automatically gets transferred to us when we take these plants into our bodies, making us stronger and more in touch with our wild, natural heritage.
